I do actual work sometimes: A Whole Different Animal

This is the first real (for real), actual (serious) book cover I've done. I didn't do any of the illustration here. I just laid it out, picked the type, and pieced it together. I tried to explain to the authors that I really only deal with the insides of books, but they didn't listen.

Anyhow, we just got a few copies of the finished product today. And it looks a good deal better than I had anticipated. I'm pretty happy with the results.

This is just my first shot, but everybody at the office seems to like it. They picked this over the many options presented by our design intern, which he spent a lot of time on. Suck on that, intern!

Maybe I don't post enough to necessitate 2 blogs

Hi folks (if indeed there are folk out there). It seems like maybe one or two people check this blog, which actually greatly surpasses any expectations I had. However, it seems that nobody is checking the snuckacrew blog these days. Take a look over there would you. I posted a T-shirt idea, and I'd like any input.

Just a time wasting exercise. I needed to get that samurai business moved down the page. So here's some crap I did. There's a big ol' thumb print in the middle of a bunch of different-colored crap. I don't care if you like it. I intend to scan some more Problem Solvers style stuff later this week or early next week or never.

This guy really appreciates his scooter

More Problem Solvers as soon as I get around to drawing and scanning them.
But I had to post something to push that dude's junk a bit lower down the page. So, here's a guy who really likes his scooter. It is so much more than simply a mode of transportation. This scooter is his friend. They've been through some rough patches together, but the scooter has never let him down. He secretly wishes he had a garage so he could sit nekked on the scooter and listen to Bright Eyes songs.

I would have gone with a lighter color

Silly Magic Bean. You definitely want a lighter color for the kitchen. Some sort of a cream/beige would do. Oh well.

A fine bluegrass shirt

In honor of the recent hooha in Kentucky, I thought I'd go ahead and share this bluegrass t-shirt logo I made. Well, the idea was actually Heineken Smith's. Also, I'm really posting it because I can't find any of my other art on my work computer, and I wanted to post something today.

A Start

This is to be my first official post. I've no real agenda with this thing, this b-log. It's mostly a time waster. But I think many good things in life start out as means to waste time or avoid responsibility. So do many bad things. Just ask any poet or junkie or junkie poet.

You see, lately I've been organizing my online life. Not by joining the myspace or flickr or any of those mmporgies. No, I don't have any real online presence that needs to be organized. Rather, I've been organizing my online consumption or intake or electronic dumpster diving. What I mean to say is that due to e-mail and rss advancements I spend less time seeking out my daily web whatnots.

So, I needed another way to waste time. Here it is. Suck on this responsibility
